FIREとは”Financial Independence, Retire Early”のこと。つまり、経済的自由を得て早期に仕事を辞めて生活することを意味します。
Alba Linkの調査によると、会社員500人を対象にしてFIREに関する意識調査をしたところ、実に80%の人がFIREしたいということがわかった。
FIREしたい理由
そして、FIREしたい理由のトップは「仕事・会社から解放されたい」であった。また、以下の図からわかることは、1番から5番までの理由は、現在の仕事・会社絡みの理由であることです。

私が気になるのは、「好きなことをして暮らしたい」と「働き方を選びたい」の2つの理由です。なぜなら、これら2つはともに自らの選択によるからです。
好きなことをして暮らしたいのなら、なぜ好きなことをしないのか？また、働き方を選びたいなら、なぜ自分のやりたい仕事を選ばないのか？
会社員は雇用主（会社）の意向が最優先であるのは百も承知です。しかし、会社員という働き方を選んだのも自分自身です。そのことは、全て織り込み済みだったのではないでしょうか？
もし、そのような事情を知らなかったというならば、なぜさっさと辞めて自分の好きなことで生活しようとしないのでしょうか？
カイロプラクターにはFIREという概念はない
カイロプラクターにはFIREという概念は存在しません。なぜなら、好きなことを辞める理由などまったくないからです。
また、カイロプラクターは基本的には個人事業主なので、働き方も自分の裁量次第です。全て自由なのです。
もし、カイロプラクターでFIREしたいという人がいたら、その人は間違いなくカイロプラクティックを楽しんでいません。
何を求め、どう生きたいのか
自分が本当にやりたいことに従って生きることは、とても重要です。仕事を通じて日々、充足感を得られていないからこそ、早期リタイアという選択を考えてしまうのでしょう。
私たちカイロプラクターから見ると、とても可哀そうに思えます。
FIREに対する憧れは理解できますが、真に大切なのは、自分が何を求め、どう生きたいのかを見極めることです。

Reasons for Wanting FIRE
The top reason for wanting FIRE is the desire to be “free from work and the company.” Additionally, it’s evident from the data that the top five reasons are all related to concerns about their current jobs or companies.
What intrigues me are the two reasons: “I want to live doing what I love” and “I want to choose my own way of working.” Both of these reasons are based entirely on personal choices.
If you want to live doing what you love, then why aren’t you doing it? And if you want to choose your working style, why are you not selecting the job that you truly desire?
I fully understand that for employees, the employer’s wishes take precedence. However, choosing to be an employee is also a personal decision. Wasn’t this understood from the beginning?
If someone was unaware of these circumstances, then why don’t they leave their job and pursue a livelihood doing what they love?
The Concept of FIRE Among Chiropractors
The concept of FIRE does not exist for chiropractors. This is because they have no reason to give up what they love. Moreover, chiropractors are typically self-employed, meaning they can choose their working style and have complete freedom.
If someone as a chiropractor wants to achieve FIRE, that person is likely not enjoying chiropractic work.
What Do You Desire and How Do You Want to Live?
Living according to what you genuinely want is incredibly important. It’s often the lack of daily fulfillment from work that leads individuals to consider early retirement.
From our perspective as chiropractors, it seems quite sad.
While the allure of FIRE is understandable, what truly matters is identifying what you seek and how you want to live your life.
